If you’re planning to rent your home out to multiple tenants, then it’s required by law that you have a HMO certificate. This must be carried out by a competent person at least once every three years to ensure that all electrical systems and appliances are working safely and to certify that your electrical appliances are compliant with the applicable I.E.E regulations. We can also advise if your property complies with the required number of lights, sockets and fire/smoke detection equipment.
